Erin M. Riley lives in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up on Cape Cod, has a BFA from Massart in Boston, and MFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She spends her time working in the studio, exhibiting nationally and internationally and travelling the US to artist residencies at Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, the MacDowell Colony and others. Her work is inspired by being a woman, the internet and webcam/digital camera/cell phone pictures. She works with the images people obsessively share, adding her own to the mix and depicting these images on a loom.
