Altamont Apparel

Cut from a different cloth

#ARTKEEPER Contest Winner

September 12, 2013 by kayla

The Altamont x Active Ride Shop #ARTKEEPER contest with Brian “Slash” Hansen has finally ended. With over a thousand submissions ranging across many artistic mediums, Brian is proud to announce his top favorite pieces. Like anything we do, this contest is Cut From A Different Cloth. Brian, after so much back and forth and trying to chose 15 winners due to how much talent there was, narrowed it down and picked a winner who made 3 out of the top 3 of Brian’s choices. Help us to congratulate Charles Marion Paras (aka @Charcoals_), a 23 year old Skater and Artist from Los Angeles, CA. Charles spent hours between the three pieces drawing inspiration from two of the most influential skateboarders on and off the pavement. The illustrations of Mark “Gonz” Gonzales and Andrew Reynolds were both done with pencil while the buffalo was done entirely with micron pens. The three pieces will be displayed at Active Ride Shop at the Irvine Spectrum starting the end of September and Charles will be receiving a box of gear from Altamont and Active.

Check back tomorrow to see the rest of the top 5 pieces and artists who will be winning a box as well. Take a look at all the submissions here.
