The opening of Patrick O’ Dell’s Skateboard High School was rife with skateboarders, musicians and general awesomeness—and not just in the photos on the walls. The show, held at Known Gallery and presented by Altamont, featured work from, O'Dell—photographer and Altamont contributor—spanning his many years behind the scenes in the world of skateboarding. From acting as Senior Photographer for Thrasher Magazine to being Vice’s Photo Editor to creating and producing his own show Epicly Later’d, O’ Dell has built up a body of work capturing some of the best images of the skateboarding world and its most interesting subjects. Many of those subjects, including Braydon Szafranski, Dustin Dollin, Dylan Rieder, Alyasha Moore and others, showed to celebrate the photographer, and, along with the likes of Ed Templeton, King Tuff, Jennifer Clavin from Bleached and Ty Segall, were treated to performances by Randy Randall, Protect Me, and Froth.
