Fucked Up - Do They Know It's Christmas?

December 9, 2009 by garry

In keeping with Fucked Up's annual tradition of dropping a Christmas-themed single, they have released a rousing cover of the 1980s Bob Geldoff classic, "Do They Know It's Christmas?" For the single, they have assembled an all-star cast of indie hipsters such as Andrew W.K., David Cross, Bob Mould (Sugar), Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend), GZA, Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio), Tegan & Sara, Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene), and Yo La Tengo.

Like last year, 100% of the proceeds from this release will go to charity. The money from the sale of this mp3 and the 7" will be split between three groups, Justice for the Missing and Murdered, DTES Power of Women, and Sisters in Spirit. So, please don't illegally download this song, spend the $0.99 and purchase it on iTunes. Thanks.
