Walden Affairs presents
Indoor Life

Curated by Tom Godfrey (UK)
November 29 - December 6, 2009
Preview: Saturday, November 28, 7:00 p.m.

Taking its title from a late '70s synthesizer and trombone-led band heard late one evening by Tom Godfrey whilst observing Indoor Life scroll across his digital radio, this exhibition will bring together both new and existing work from 14 artists based in Nottingham, London, Frankfurt, Berlin and Los Angeles respectively. Responding to the gallery's domestic past and the remnants of that history which still exist, Indoor Life will explore ideas relating to the display of art that exists within or poses as a domiciliary and gallery environment. At times, the exhibition may resemble a film set, a building site or even the home of a private art collection--all with the common purpose of investigating the varying realms between fact and fiction, form and function that an exhibition and domestic space can operate within.

Indoor Life will include works by:
