Mitch Mitchell Dies at 61
Mitch Mitchell, drummer of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2008, at age 61. He was one of the first drummers to bring a jazz influence to rock; and he was the last surviving member of the Experience, after guitarist and vocalist Jimi Hendrix died in 1970, and bass player Noel Redding died in 2003.
