Silkworms and Donkey Meat: Fos in China

I'm in Shanghai, China. Thought I'd mail y'all and let you know how it's going. It's like the sketchy, dirty version of Japan. I'm in some crazy plush hotel with a pool on the 26th floor and all this crazy stuff. I went out for dinner earlier and ate fried silkworms. Here's a pic. They were pretty nasty, in all honesty--big, bloody things, too. There was donkey meat on the menu, but I was more in a fried silkworm kind of mood, you know what I mean? I haven't seen dog on the menu yet, but it's early days.

I'm here to paint a ramp. Ha-ha, really! It's a strange world that we live in. There's this big skate art thing that Adidas is sponsoring and someone asked me if I wanted to come over and paint a ramp for it. Andrew Pommier, Matt Irving, Kirk Dianda and Benjamin Debert are here, among others. If I eat any more rad things I'll let you know. I'll send some pics of the ramp after I paint it today.

So, I spent all day yesterday painting a ramp and a hubba. I got there at 10:00 in the morning and left at 10.00 at night. Grafting! Here's a park overview, including a hubba and ramp shot and hubba detail shot. I also wrote "Living the dream" on top of that kinked bank thingy, which is incidentally the funnest object in the whole place. I haven't eaten any more insects, but I'll let you know if I do.--Fos
